Candle Care & Safety
Candles create warmth and atmosphere when used properly. Please read and follow these instructions carefully to ensure safe use and optimal performance.
Before Lighting
-
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use.
-
Place the candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
-
Keep the candle free of matches, wick trimmings, and debris.
-
Always burn candles within sight.
While Burning
-
Do not burn for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
-
Allow the wax to melt fully across the surface on the first burn to help prevent tunneling.
-
Keep candles away from drafts, pets, and children.
-
Never move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is hot.
-
Keep candles away from flammable objects.
Extinguishing
-
Extinguish candles using a snuffer whenever possible to avoid hot wax splatter and smoke.
-
Ensure the wick is upright and centered after extinguishing.
-
Do not blow directly into the candle.
When to Stop Burning
-
Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container.
-
Do not relight a candle once it has reached this point.
Candle Behavior & Natural Variations
-
Variations in wax texture, frosting, or surface appearance are normal and do not affect performance.
-
Soy and coconut waxes are natural materials and may respond to temperature changes.
-
Minor imperfections after cooling or first burn are cosmetic and expected.
Storage
-
Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
-
Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold.
Troubleshooting
-
Tunneling: Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt fully across the surface.
-
Sooting: Trim the wick and avoid drafts.
-
Uneven burn: Ensure the candle is placed on a level surface.
Important Safety Reminder
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire hazard or injury.
