On special nights in the South China Sea, off the coast of Kuantan, Malaysia, at a beach called Teluk Cempedak, the sea sometimes comes alive with light.

When your hands move through the dark water, glowing ribbons appear—soft, swirling trails of blue-green  bioluminescence dancing in the waves.
For a moment, the ocean feels almost magical, as if the stars have fallen into the sea, a real Disney moment.
 
Kuantan Glow was inspired by that unforgettable experience.
The gentle green swirls in this bar echo the bioluminescence that shimmered beneath the surface of the sea, with every movement creating a brief, glowing halo in the warm water.

In remembering this experience, I couldn't help but think about another beach, Pantai Tembeling, not far away, at the bottom of the cliff at the Tembeling Apartments where I lived.

One day we had the rare opportunity to watch a monitor lizard, 5 feet at least, leap into the water and swim a ways out then dive and come up with a  fish. It kept the fish in its mouth and clambered out of the ocean and up onto one of the boulders to eat it.
So fascinating - from a safe distance.
